Grey's Ice Cream Social
I Scream. You Scream. (My Kids Scream.)
My sweet baby boy turned a year old this week. Sniff. I guess it was bound to happen, but I can't help but tear up. It went too fast.
What better way to celebrate surviving a whole year with two crazy older brothers than an ice cream social!? He earned it. Trust me.
When we were doing the Superhero Birthday Party I ordered some 24"x24"x48" corrugated boxes from Uline for a phone booth. Then I got a call at work from my husband wanting to know why there was a palette being dropped off in our driveway one afternoon. (You would think he would be used to this craziness by now! Ha!) Now I am determined to use every last one of those boxes (2 down, 3 to go.)
I had so much fun making this adorable little ice cream stand for the kids to play with.
It all started with these adorable sprinkle table cloths from Target. I found them a few months ago and grabbed two before they were gone. I created some sprinkle floral arrangements by putting a smaller vase inside and filling in between the two with (you guessed it!) sprinkles!!
I ordered these fun pastel vinyl wall sprinkle stickers from Urban Walls and used them everywhere, from the card board ice cream stand to the mirror in the dining room. They were easy to apply and came off with no mess. I also bought these honeycomb cones from Urban Outfitters.
Pre-scooped ice cream made it easy for our little guests to grab.
I created these topping labels and hot glued them on popsicle sticks so we could stick them in the bowls with the toppings.
So. Many. Toppings.
There were certainly some interesting concoctions. Cotton Candy ice cream with chocolate sauce? Not my first choice, but hey...
These yummy ice cream cake pops from So Cozy Creations were the perfect addition to our ice cream social.
When I saw the August flavor of the month at Dana's Bakery, I couldn't believe my luck... waffle cone sundae! What are the chances? Cute and delicious! Home made sugar cookies shaped like ice cream cones and popsicles too.
Grey loved his ice cream stand! He had such a good time playing it in with his cousins.
I found this cute candy mold and made these ice cream lollipops with candy melts.
Cotton candy cones were super cute and easy!
It's almost like Oh Happy Day just knew. This balloon sprinkle backdrop fit in perfectly with our ice cream theme! It was meant to be!
I hand painted these simple Celebrate It™ white favor bags from Michael's with the tip of an eraser cap to make a fun sprinkle pattern and added an ice cream cone tag.
And filled them with... Ice Cream Cone Shooters, Yum Yum Marshmallow Cones, Ice Cream Pens, Ice Cream Bubbles in blue and some Popsicle Lip Glosses.
